HTC is doubling down on VR with the Vive Pro and a wireless Vive adapter.
Tom Warren from The Verge was kind enough to post the wonderful details of the newly announced Vive Pro. The new headset boasts a resolution of 1400×1600 per eye or 2880×1600 total. The headset also has built-in headphones. One very interesting detail is that the new headset has two front-facing cameras for developers to work with.
Another interesting gadget is the Vive Wireless Adapter. The adapter will run on a “60hz band, helping prevent any interference and running at low latency.” The adapter will work on both the original Vive and the Vive Pro.
Pricing and release date info were not shared on either the Vive Pro or the Vive Wireless Adapter. Definitely check out Tom’s article here to learn more!
